I Have No Strength to Stay Away From You: Twilight Quote Series

When you fall in love with someone, a powerful force inside ignites you to do something; even when this means losing yourself in the end. In love, we seek reason, but we never find it. It's just there for us to enjoy.

Falling in love is an opportunity for us to become more human, increase our self pride and highlight the things that we do best. We become effective by allowing the other person to experience our uniqueness and share our strengths and have someone patch up our weaknesses. This is a way for us to self-expand (The Self-Expansion Theory) and develop areas in our lives which we never gave so much attention to improve on before until we finally involve ourselves with someone.

With this, let me end this post with a passage in the Bible that talks about love.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Mom's Perfect Gift for Me: My Dream Bed

I think that I haven’t blogged about me looking for metal beds for the past two weeks since my bed is too old and is very ready for disposal. It’s a bed that’s that’s been with us for 20 years! Imagine that. I am interested in metal bedsso I started checking for some bed stuffs online and found an interesting site. Since I helped my mom work on her living room interiors, she promised that she’ll buy one of the metal beds that I’ll like in any store I want. I’m excited!

I was browsing at the site and fell in love with the Coutras Metal Sleigh Bedroom Furniture Set. I can’t believe that they’ve slashed the item price in half! Mom and, now, dad, promised to shoulder the total cost of the item. But since its $1,149.00 I thought of paying 1/3 of the price (think the original price of the item is $2,295.00).

I have copied and pasted the picture of the Contemporary Bedroom Furniture I want to buy. There are still lots of bed furniture sets that are on sale at the site. If you’re looking for affordable but quality furniture, I must say that this is the place to go. There is a couple of furniture for kids, too, at low prices. Make sure you check it out, too.

How To Recover from a Drastic Financial Downfall

I must say that I have not yet fully recovered from mom's hospitalization with my total debt down at PhP 70,000. We originally got billed (including the medicines bought outside the hospital) spent around PhP 400,000. Imagine how expensive medicines can get nowadays? You'll surely find yourself in a morgue if you get sick and have no money to cover hospital and medicine expenses. This is one reason why I am doing everything I can to recover from my this financial difficulty and put my bank account back to what it was before. =)

The secret to financial security is the right spending and wise investment. No matter how much wealth you have, if you don't spend it right and put it to a good investment, you will surely set yourself to complete financial downfall.

I am still on the process of recovering. But I am pretty sure that I'll recover soon since my payslip is showing a good sign of progress because loan deductions are starting to disappear one by one. I'll keep you posted in the coming months.

Ebola Virus Found in Pigs and Humans in the Philippines

You may have heard about ebola cases which left four new infections among humans just recently. The government is now taking strict measures on identifying new infections and quarantined people who were tested positive of ebola. A minute ago, I learned that the government is not taking further chances but to slaughter and burn more than 6,000 hogs and pigs anyday this week.

Its pretty scary how these diseases, especially viruses, are now able to mutate that fast and can jump from domestic animals to humans. Hogs to humans, monkey's to man, chickens to humans, name it. We can see evolution working at the lowest level of the life.

Although people who were infected did not develop any serious symptoms. Some exhibited flu-like symptoms which later recovered while most of those who tested positive for the virus were totally healthy.

I must say the Philippines is not the only country who have experienced this animal bacterial, viral, and mysterious particle infestations [as in the case of prions (mad cow disease)] but other countries, too, such as the United States and the UK. I just hope that the local officials will be able to fix it before it gets really serious...

Found the Perfect Dating Site For Me

It’s been a while since I had my last relationship so I started visiting some dating sites just for the past few weeks. I never had the opportunity to really browse through the net that much but when I got the chance this morning; I came to check passion search and thought to give it a shot.

I signed up for passion search and thought that this might be a good way for me to start the search for that special someone. The site is neat and registration is easy. You won’t have to go through that complicated process of registering. Registration is a breeze.

I believe that the site is being maintained by dedicated people because of its nice layout. There are several services too, which I like such as video chat and the usual instant messaging. What sets passion search apart from the rest is its unique chat rooms and swingers parties which are not available in other dating sites. The best part is – its free! There is no membership fee to pay and you are free to use all the services offered in the site. I am sure that you will love it here, too. Check out the site to learn more.

Interesting Place for Seniors

I happen to check on www.seniorchatcity.com that gives seniors the ability to socialize and join a community of people who wants to meet people of the same age range. I checked on the Senior Chat Room and it’s good. I am pretty sure that people who fall under the age bracket will surely love that. I believe that this website will help our oldsters pretty much especially that most youngsters these days don’t stay at home and usually are preoccupied at work. Now that these websites are available, seniors will be able to leverage on using the site to communicate with people not just of the same age but people who share the same interest in life and those who wants to share other stuffs that other people might be interested with. There is one Senior Chat Room available in the site that my grandma will surely like – it’s the senior cooking room. It’s quite interesting for rooms are categorized according to what the room really represents. So if you want to chat with people whose interest falls under the certain hobby, then you can chat in there. If you’re a senior and are looking for an interesting place to visit, check www.seniorchatcity.com to learn more. You might find a Senior Chat Room that suits your interest.

Loan Modification and Foreclosure Assistance

I have recently made some loan modification just so I would be able to better finance my earnings for this year. I made this change last month. I was taught by one of my friends who happened to took advantage of a Mortgage Loan Modification given to her by her bank.

I never thought its possible though so I took the same privelege while my bank is helping me out with my sister's foreclosure assistance. There are a lot of business nowadays that are ready to help you out with loan modification and foreclosure assistance requests. I wonder why some people let their finances suffer when all these services are available.

Sad Truth About Philippine Labor Law

Back when I was a kid, I can't understand the apparent liking of Filipinos to leave the country to find greener pasture abroad. Now that I am, well, old, I now feel the apparently same need to leave just to better prepare myself financially in the future.

I just think that all these are happening due to a bad structuring of our local labor and how our laws were created to protect our working citizens. Can we now start blaming our law-makers? Ready? Go!

Obviously, there is little protection given to salaried employees. There is little protection from company closure, from loss of jobs in the event of economic failure and an assurance that you'll get something after separating from the company considering your years of hardwork.

Almost all companies these days are working to ease out seasoned employees and use all known technical and legal machineries to get away with employee separation benefits. This, I say, is becoming a sad and bad practice and equally alarming...

View Email Campaigns Not In Your Inbox but at Adpera.com

Perhaps, most of us are tired of seeing our inbox cluttered with email messages that does not really matter to us. You may have subscribed to some of these email campaigns in the past to receive messages about a certain merchant’s latest offers, but in the end, you’ll realize that the emails are starting to pile up in your inbox.

Well, Adpera.com, has developed a strategy to create a database where all of the internet’s well visited and trusted merchant sites along with details of their email campaigns and latest promos are located all in one place. I saw a couple of my favourite stores from Adpera.com such as Neiman Marcus, Cooking.com, and Macy’s with information about their latest email campaigns and promotional offer. Adpera.com did really something useful for people to get what they want and when they want it.

How Do You Define Discrimination?

I was totally stunned and shocked while listening to this conversation. I apologize but the language used is Filipino (Tagalog) which my other readers might not be able to appreciate. But its sad to know that a fellow Filipino discriminates the same race when her ignorance resonates more than the sound of her voice. Listen to the call.

On Change: Bill Gates: How I'm Trying to Change the World Now

Wherever you are, did you ever feel that you are small person trying to make a huge change on what is currently accepted? Did you ever feel that you are but a small person trying to voice out a rather valid opinon among a group of people whom you think, not literally "speaks a different language" than you do?

I am quite happy that there are a couple of people in the planet who thinks just differently than the rest: altrusim becoming the word that drives them to live and help them realize their true mission in life.

This is not just about Bill Gates, but all those who are trying to make a big change and helping others to help themselves and become an inspiration to people who suffers way more difficult than the rest of us. Below is a speech on how Bill Gates is trying to help change the world...

Pls. Flush After Used!

I'm not a grammarian but I think something is wrong with how the word "used" was used in this word sign. Please correct me if I'm wrong. =( I saw this sign at the restroom of Jollibee, Clark Maingate.

I think that "Please, Flush After Use" would be a better idea. What do you think? Your comments are welcome. Grammar isn't my cup of tea, too. =(

Sending Anonymous Message Through VPN

Almost all computer network in different industries are protected through a powerful proxy settings. A friend of mine who happens to know the ins and outs of computer is able to surf the company-provided internet connection without the censorship of the network administrator. He uses a certain program that allows him to surf the internet where all messages he sends across the Internet are fully encrypted although the computer network has highly stringent proxy settings. Too bad I am not that geek. =( Do you guys know any other programs that works the same as this?

I won!!!! Philippine Lottery PhP 270 Million (6/49 February 19, 2009 Draw)

Don't panic I didn't win yet. Perhaps later after the draw. =D I just can't imagine the Philippine Lottery jackpot would grow this much. I am not into gambling but seeing prize this big and the long queue of hopefuls who would like to snatch the huge jackpot prize, I feigned playing greedy and bet!

I wonder how will I react and even plan on using the money if in case I win. It guess it would be chaotic. This is probably what the lucky winners have felt, too. Some even found themselves even poorer because they did not use the money wisely. There is a true story (actually featured in local TV) about a poor man who won 9 million Philippine Lotto jackpot and lost all the money in less than a month because he went on to playing casino the day after he got the money and bet all his money until the last centavo. Poor guy.

There should be a protocol that people who wins these prizes should be given financial consultation and planning services so that they will be guided on what and where to use the money. Apparently, people have this mentality to buy everything they want and spend everything till they drop when they get a huge amount of money out of luck from gambling like this. I hope I win so I can start taking advantage of such service! Stop dreaming because the money is mine! :D Kidding. Good luck everyone!

Home and Mortgage Loans in London

Perhaps, I already mentioned in my blog that one of my friends left for London. Now that she is already settled, her boss backed her up to get London loan grant for mortgage and home use. I can't believe that people in London employers are very generous and supportive. I am beginning starting to consider moving to London if I get a job there too to get the same London loan grant. How lucky my friend was!

14th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, Clark Free Port Zone, Pampanga, Philippines

The 14th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark, Pampanga was a lot of fun. We visited on the last day of the event (February 15, 2009) just so we could see the hot air balloons up close. This is actually my first time visiting this yearly event thinking that this has been a tradition here in Clark for, obviously, 14 years now.

Booths and food courts, store/booths that sell local delicacies and showcasing military armories are available. I gladly put some accessories on to experience how it feels like carrying on those heavy suits (they are absolutely heavy!). I took a few pictures of the event. I got frustrated at first since we’ve been at the line for over an hour and the line isn’t moving and we can’t get in. We missed seeing 90% of the hot air balloons because we can’t get near the ticket booth to buy our tickets. Apparently, there are people who sneak in the line a few meters ahead of us that’s why the line isn’t moving at all. Too bad the system is quite poor. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the event and I will be looking forward for next year’s hot air fest here in Clark.

Just the Right Community for Married People

I believe that all individuals whatever their status is should not be restricted to things that they were doing even before they into any type of relationship. I believe this is true with married people.

Married people should need more time for relaxation because I believe that maintaining a relationship is not an easy work. Well, for married people, community involvement is necessary. You need to find your support groups who are also in the same situation or status. Married Chat City provides free access to all married couples for all the various services they offer. There is a Married Chat Room in the site that married people can use to unwind or join a group of married individuals who are involved in a specific cause. There is a married chat room that talks about a hobby and there are others who are more focused on charity works.

Married people should not be confined to their own places but should expand their horizons as to what other people on a similar situation are experiencing. They should reach out and connect to those who share the same passion and hobbies. They should also support other married couples who have issues and provide appropriate support. You can make a difference by joining any of the married chat room at Married Chat City.

Sleepless Night: Twilight Series Quotes

"I didn't sleep well that night, even after I was done crying. The constant whooshing of the rain and wind across the roof wouldn't fade into the background. I pulled the faded old quilt over my head, and later added the pillow, too. But I couldn't fall asleep until after midnight, when the rain finally settled into a quieter drizzle."

As I read through the pages of Twilight I somehow can relate to what Bella has experienced. I fear rain and air rushing fiercely through rooftops and tall trees. I can hardly sleep when its raining and its one of the reasons why I stay at home most of the time even when its just drizzling...

I could attribute this fear to the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in 1991 when my entire family almost died of drowning through the hot, thick lava which claimed our house and our entire community in seconds. I remembered my older brother and dad tied all of us in ropechains so that even when we die, we are still together as one family...Fortunately, some of neighbors were there to help us and we all survived that tragedy...

Twilight is an excellent book. :) I like it. Hope you guys will get the chance to read it, too.

Dad is Happy with his Island Light Chandelier

A few months ago when we I asked my mom to renovate my dad’s living room, I was given the task to propose a design. Knowing that I have a knack on interior designs, my parents gave me all the decisions to look for the right interiors and even the lighting fixtures to use.

I saw a lot of houses before particularly my friends’ houses and liked island light fixtures on the ceiling of their living and dining room. Island light chandeliers add to the overall coziness of the house due to their style. The only problem I had been was to make the island light chandelier color match that of the ceiling and house wall color. Let me show you the Bronze Umber Billiard Light I bought for my parents to put on their living room.

Smoking Kills

I may have already written in the past that I hate smoking. I hate it because I have seen a lot of my loved ones got sick from it and even died. Just a few days ago, my mom’s cousin died of a disease caused by smoking. Unfortunately, symptoms of her “mysterious lung disease” progressed only for a few days and she died a few weeks immediately after she felt them. I call it mysterious because she suffered from it without even knowing what her disease was since she can’t even afford to pay for a physician’s check up or finance additional medical tests.

I know that the government provides free medical support for indigenous and poor sector of our society but its implementation and funding is poor not to mention all the thing things that are happening backstage. We even tried helping but we were told about mom’s cousin’s condition a few days before she died which is too late.

I am not sure what is it with cigarettes but its harmful effects are starting to unfold to the very eyes of the public. Despite of all these lung diseases, people just can’t stop smoking.

At the wake, people's talk was about smoking and believe me, my mom acted like a living testimony. =D It’s because she’s a survivor. And I, of course, almost died of hospital bills. LOL. With all the recession and massive layoffs happening around us these days, perhaps the only gift you can give to your self is good health. Nothing more, nothing else.

Wanted: XML Superstar

I am pretty sure that some of you here have joined a contest of some sort and may have won or lost. Well, contests is not all about winning, isn't? It’s about participating and doing your best and sharing your talents. A friend, Jaypee, who is very interested in programming, recently joined an xml contest. It’s a contest about programming in DB2 and XML language. He invited me to join the contest, too. I hesitated at first considering that I do not have previous experience in programming. He had me take the initial test to qualify for the xml contest and it appears that it’s not that too technical. The competition has five different contests in it. You can choose one which best reflects your interest such as the following:

Video contest
Gadget contest
Query Contest
Ported App Contest 1
XML2 Contest

So you better hurry up and join the contest if any of the contests portion interests you to win cool prizes.

Ever Been in Wilmington, NC?

Perhaps, everbody is affected by the downturn of economies around the globe and properites and commodities are affected by these changes. With that comes the usual scenario where people in need are moving to a different state and selling their houses. My sister in Wilmington, North Carolina is particularly worried and is planning to sell their house and move to a different state and start a new life. I do not consider it as a good move although Wilmington, NC area are closing and suffering a major financial bout. This is driving Wilmington, NC Luxury Real Estate prices down.

Wilmington, NC Luxury Real Estate are quite affordable as my sister told me. Its a great place to go if you are planning for retirement or you want a rather not-so-busy life. Does anyone have been in Wilmington, NC yet or own properites there?

Rustom Padilla is Dead!

You may have heard that Rustom Padilla is already dead according to Bebe Gandanghari – his apparent alter ego. =D I used to be Rustom Padilla’s number one fan. Good thing and look at what happened to me?! I kind of regret that. Hehe. Just kidding.

Well, I believe that with all the shocking transformations that ever happened to him, I still believe that he deserves to be who he wants to be. I, too, believe that he’s exaggerating what I believe and thought is “gay” for me. But we might have failed to really analyze and understand why he could have done that to himself.

I can see how much pressure he’d been into all these years considering that virtually all of his siblings are symbols of Philippine machismo image – a fact that he failed to accept and live up as he matures in the Philippine showbiz industry.

Sometimes, when we push ourselves to the limit or test how much pain we could bare just to make others happy, we fail. When we let society enjoy the person they can see outside of ourselves, we fail. Just how one could bring out the best in them, appreciate themselves, and all the things around them, we need to look into the “person” inside us; the person who is the reflection of our true self and aspirations. We need not compare ourselves to people who are richer, more beautiful, friendly, and popular. We need to appreciate who we are and celebrate our contributions to this universe. That one day, we will all be remembered for even the smallest good deeds we did to others…and how we have loved people who loved us and forgave people who have hurt us…and witness how we have liberated ourselves from all pain and suffering we have felt before...

Sometimes, we fail to see our own beauty because we are fixated to other else's. Love yourself. That's one of the best things you could do for now. :)

World Chicken: The Best Fastfood Restaurant in Trinoma!

After registering to one of Instituto Cervantes' language program, a few friends called me up to spend the night out at Trinoma, Ayala Mall. Around 7PM, we scouted the area to look for a good restaurant that fits our budget.

After an hour of looking and choosing, we decided to try World Chicken. I ordered Pesto pasta, bacon rice, chicken and Salmon sashimi at Smairu Japanese Restaurant. The whole combo only costs like around PhP 175 only! Peso-US Dollar exchange rate is $1 USD = PhP 47.00. That’s around $3.50. We stayed in there for almost 12 hours just talking, singing, and drinking. We hopped from Red Box Karaoke, to Araneta Center at around 1 AM. Whew! I went home around 6 in the morning! :D I had so much fun and I can't help myself but plan on visiting the place again soon.

¿Que Pasa? Un Dia en Instituto Cervantes

Yesterday’s trip was fun. I first went to Instituto Cervantes to enroll in their Spanish class which will start on February 28. The building has very interesting interior and architecture. It’s something that you won’t see in any other buildings. Each corner is an expression of art and the people are just absolutely Queen Sophia’s relatives (Queen of Spain) =)

I’ll share some of the pictures I took at Instituto Cervantes. I’m pretty excited to start although time posts another challenge for me. It seems that time management is one of my areas for improvement. I was supposed take the diagnostic exam but since I came in late, I have forget about hopping to the next level. I hope to speak and write Spanish better in the next 2 years! LOL!

Beware of Used Blades in Salons or Barber Shops

I had my haircut a few days ago since I was planning to visit Instituto Cervantes in Manila to enroll and continue my Spanish language studies. I head on to my favorite hair cutter and waited for almost an hour because he had to attend to people who came in before me.

After a while, he called me up and asked me to sit on the hair cutter chair (I guess that’s how its called). As soon as I got into his chair, he began ravaging my hair and almost removed my scalp due to his aggressiveness! I always tell my hair stylist or whoever cuts my hair to use new blades if ever they will clean me up thinking that used blades might carry some diseases which might be transmitted through blood-blood contact as in the case where blades are used from one person to another. I am not trying to become a primadonna but I guess that this should become a proper protocol for all salons since this might potentially increase the number of avoidable deadly infections.

As I was saying, my hair cutter might probably be thinking that there are a couple of people waiting so he tried his best to finish me up early as he can so that he could accommodate the other people on the line. I should say that I am generous when I go to salon just so the service would be a lot better than the people who pay just the exact amount. For the normal PhP 39.50 haircut fee, I pay PhP 100.00.

Because he was on a hurry, he unintentionally (at least I guess!) cut a portion of my skin on my nape and I felt my blood started oozing from it! I know that its blood but I pretend that I didn’t notice it. But after a while, it was really getting terribly painful so I told me that he probably cut my skin so I handed him over a tissue to wipe my blood! Imagine how morbid the scene was! That will surely give you a Goosebumps! The problem did not stop there since the cut never stopped bleeding! It lasted for almost 15 minutes before the oozing of blood from my nape finally subsided. I almost died of a heart attack seeing all those blood on my tissue! Because of my frustration, I immediately got my cash out of wallet and stormed out of the Salon in a flash without thanking him. I know that it was not his intention to do it but his actions of hurrying me up when I have been a good customer for years really frustrates me. Look at what he did! My whole nape was cut and bleeding. =(

Payday Loan Provider that Delivers

I suppose that my life has already become an open book for everybody who visit and read by blog. I never wanted to hide something from people, especially the people who cares for me. Due to my mom’s health problem, I got into tons of payday cash advance and other loans or cash advance from other businesses. This has supplied me with the needed money to provide finances for my mom’s medication.

Although I was able to get cash advance from my job then (last year), it still wasn’t enough to even pay all my hospital debts so I decided to call my cousin in the US to ask for some money. She told me that she’s broke, too, but she’ll try her best to get more resources to help me out. The other day, she called me up and told me that she’ll send in a few hundred dollars to help me out with my mom’s medication. I was surprised because I didn’t expect it to be that quick. She told me though that she took advantage of a popular payday cash advance provider online named LOCI. I got curious so I checked the site out to find out myself. Nevertheless, I was thankful.

With economies across the globe suffering from tremendous financial constraints, its but hard for businesses to release such money in an instant. But there are companies who are very dependable especially for payday cash advance request and related loan types. I hope you guys check this out if ever you feel like taking advantage of cash advance loans.

C' Italian at Clark Freeport Zone

If you happen to visit Clark, the first must-see-eat (LOL) restaurant that you have to go to is C' Italian Resto. That is, if you are into Italian foodstuffs. The first branch I know is located at Friendship, Clark Free Port Zone, Pampanga. I found out that they put up another branch inside the Clark Zone near Sutherland, a contact center.

We never planned of eating in a resto again two days ago and was just thinking of going to Ministop for snacks. But things happen. That's when I learned that C' Italian spun off another branch with a different name. Its something like C' Deli by C' Italian. I probably need to check that out again so I'll know the corect name of the restaurant. :)

Life becomes really beautiful when you have your loved ones and friends share a good food together...

Missing Trekking and Mountain Climbing

mount pinatubo and mount hibok hibok, mt. hibok hibok, mt. pinatubo, green mountain, beautiful scenery Mt. Hibok Hibok

With all of the sports activities I have been into, mountain trekking and hiking is the best! I can still remember going to Mt. Hibok Hibok in 2003 and Mt. Pinatubo in 2005. I rarely do mountain climbing though but even if I do, I make sure that I have the best outdoor gear in place. Two of the best mountain gears I know are Marmot and North Face. These are perhaps the mountain climbing gears that have already established a name in this mountain trek outdoor gear market.

Marmot is tested and stylish. I have two pairs of their sweater, one jacket, and gloves. Just last week, I bought two pairs of shirts and pants. All in their sale price which is almost 60 to 70%. Great deal right?

North Face, too are great. I got branded North Face Denali gloves. I particularly like their boots. I have one which was given to me by a friend on my birthday a year ago. Other outdoor gear such as scarf and hats are a must-haves, too if you are to go mountain trekking. Other regular footwear items are also available on sale once in a while.

I would suggest that if you buy such outdoor gears, you go for branded ones such as North Face and Marmot instead of going for generic gears which will only last for only a few months. Its pretty easy to buy unbranded generic gears but just imagine the money you will waste for not buying something of value and quality.

Add Fun to Your Parties

Parties just can’t go without rave light and other LED toys. I am particularly interested wish such glowing rave light toys especially when we do house parties. My siblings just know to use it to make the party lively though. They seem to an ordinary toy but when used in dim lights, coupled with little music, the environment will just change. I don’t know but it just changes the mood of the people. It turns them lively and ready to party. Check out rave lights now and see how it can add excitement to any festivities.

Only Wade Shoes Touches My Feet

I love my new shoes! =) It’s Wade and I bought for only $28.00 (around PhP 1,500). It wasn’t my intention to buy shoes but I was forced though because the other ones gave up on me. Both heels were detached and I was forced to leave work to buy myself a new pair of shoes. Honestly speaking, these shoes are more than 6 years old! It’s not a much of a branded one, (Rusty Lopez Shoes) but it was really durable. I first used it during the graduation exercise in College hehehe!
